Last night we went to the Mayors Gala at the Rhyl pavilion. Our youngest daughter was performing with her school in dance and with the choir.

During the evening awards were given to individuals and groups who had done something outstanding for the community. It’s great to see the ordinary folk being recognised and receiving awards for doing extra ordinary things instead of watching celebrities and stars in the music and film industry getting the attention.

It is also good to see local talent taking centre stage along with other more well-known celebs, last night it was with ‘Same Difference’ of X factor fame.  So congratulations to the mayor for providing a great evening of entertainment.
