Every now and again I will add into my blog a location which I have visited and would recommend you visit if you are in the area.

To start off I will share about Talacre Lighthouse.

Since I have been living in North Wales one of my favourite locations to visit has been the redundant lighthouse in Talacre which is a few miles east of Prestatyn. Time and time again I have visited with my camera to take pictures, during the daytime and also just before the sun goes down. It is a great sun set location.

Over the last couple of weeks the lighthouse has been given a new coat of paint, it looked great in its shabby appearance and it looks great in its new coat of paint. It’s been interesting comparing pictures from a few years ago to more recent to see how the paint on the  lighthouse has been affected by the weather – it can get pretty windy and stormy here, even on a nice sunny day the wind can be pretty breezy here.

If you are ever in the area its worth a walk from the car park in Talacre village across the sands to the lighthouse. There is also a good little bakery shop near the car park with proper cakes!
